EdgeGuard runs in your browser through the EdgeGuard Chrome extension. When your day loss reaches the cap you set, it disables the Buy and Sell buttons on your broker web terminal until the next session. The lock lives in your browser, so it is a commitment device and not a hard block: it does not stop orders placed from your phone or another browser.

Do my broker credentials, API keys, or trading passwords ever touch your servers?

Cost calculations and the CSV auditor run in your browser and your files are not uploaded. If you connect a broker API in the simulator, the credentials are held in memory for that tab only, sent over HTTPS to our server to reach your broker, and not stored. We never hold your funds and EdgeGuard does not place orders.

What are the 2026 lot sizes and STT rates, and how does EdgeGuard use them?

NSE circular NSE/FAOP/70616 set the current lot sizes (Nifty 65, BankNifty 30). From 1 April 2026 STT on options sales is 0.15% of premium. EdgeGuard applies both when it estimates your costs, so you see the breakeven before you trade.
